Athos & Porthos
February 9, 2026Skylax appeared one day in a neutered colony, completely out of the blue. From the very beginning, he stood out, friendly with his rescuer, gentle with the other cats, and clearly trying to find his way into her home.
It soon became clear why. Neighbours confirmed that Skylax was once a house cat who had been abandoned.
We couldn’t leave him outside, begging for safety and affection, so we brought him in. Skylax was safely caught and taken to the vet, where he was found to be perfectly healthy, already neutered, and he also received his first vaccinations.
He is now fostered in a multi-cat household, where he continues to show how much he enjoys feline company. Skylax is kind, peaceful, and social with other cats. With humans, however, he is still quite shy — not out of fear, but caution. He needs time, patience, and gentle reassurance to feel safe enough to show his tender side.
We believe Skylax would truly flourish in a home with other cats and with a person who understands that trust is something earned, not rushed. In the right environment, this quiet soul has all the potential to become a deeply loving companion.
If you’re looking to give a second chance to a cat who simply needs time and kindness, Skylax may be the one.
