Makis

Makis is one of the most unforgettable rescues we’ve ever had. Found darting between cars in a parking lot, he was scared, clever, and fast. When we returned hours later, he had moved on to hiding among storage boxes and clutter, turning his rescue into a two-day mission. Two of our volunteers even played “hide and seek” with him for hours, but Makis wasn’t ready yet.

In the end, patience, care, and a humane automatic trap brought him to safety. And that’s when the real transformation began.

At first, Makis was cautious and unsure. But after just a few days in foster care, the purring started. Today, he’s a sweet, shy boy who has learned that humans can be trusted, especially his foster dad.

Makis is about 10 months old, neutered, vaccinated and FIV/FELV negative. He’s mostly a “cat’s cat” and feels most comfortable around other felines, but he does form deep bonds with the humans he trusts. New faces still make him nervous, so he’ll need a patient, kind home that understands his sensitive soul.

We believe Makis will truly shine with his chosen person, someone who gives him time, love, and steady companionship. He would do best in a home where he isn’t left alone for long, has feline company and where he can feel safe and connected.
