Zoe, a fluffy calico

A fluffy calico, missing an ear, looks into the camera

Zoe is a fluffy calico who lived in an archaeological site for almost 5 years. A tourist  informed us about a possibly cancerous ear, so the volunteers caught her and took her to the vet who unfortunately confirmed the suspicions. Zoe underwent surgery that went really well, her blood tests are great and she is now a happy, healthy cat!

We decided to look for a home for Zoe after getting to know her sweet and loving nature and because sun exposure puts her at risk. During her stay at the vet, Zoe loved all the attention and belly rubs! Since she moved to a foster home, she has been enjoying life indoors very much. This gorgeous fluffball loves to swim in catnip and receive belly rubs. She is shy in the beginning but becomes very expressive and comfortable once you earn her trust. Zoe is chatty and will let you know what she wants. Loyal to the calico myth, she is a real diva and will live life on her own terms! She accepts other cats with time, as long as she gets space but she is also perfectly fine as a single cat.

The ideal family for Zoe is one that spends a lot of time at home, knows about cats and will not push or rush her to do anything she doesn’t want to. She must be kept indoors and not be exposed to the sun without the use of sunscreen on her ears. Zoe is the perfect companion for an elderly person or someone working remotely.
