Mama Lucy and her 6 lovely kittens were found in a dangerous environment near a busy, central avenue. If left there, it would be just a matter of time before the poor dears would be crushed by the hectic traffic. Despite the rescue of the whole family, 3 of the 6 kittens died after 2 weeks because of respiratory infection. The 3 surviving kittens, after receiving their foster mother’s tender care and drinking their mother’s milk, are completely healthy. The young rascals, now 3 months old, have very sweet personalities and purr constantly. They have been vaccinated and treated for worms and are ready for adoption.
Mama Lucy is a sweet cat and still breastfeeds and protects her ‘babies’. She has also breastfed other orphan kittens in need that our volunteers found. She is very gentle and gets along well with other cats and dogs. Approximately 1 year old, she has been neutered, vaccinated and dewormed. She has tested negative for Feline Aids and Leukemia.
Mama Lucy’s kittens are Oliver (white male), Elinor (pale peach, lying on a couch) and Marianne (pale orange and white, lying in a basket). It would be wonderful if Mama Lucy could be adopted along with one of her kittens. For more information on adopting one or more of this family, click the pink Contact button below.
