This young cat is such a gentle, trusting soul, which belies her traumatic past. Nine Lives volunteers found her one winter day at a colony we have been working to trap-neuter-return. We know the cats there, and she was new and seemed abandoned: clean, very friendly, and just 5 months old. Later we found the carrier she had been brought in, chucked behind a wall. Thankfully she had escaped the fast cars that make this a very risky place for all cats, especially newcomers who are not so street-wise, and as soon as we met her we took her to safety. She is now spayed and hoping to move into a forever home where she will be cherished. She would be happy in a family with or without other cats; she loves human attention and affection, but also plays comfortably with the other young cat in her foster home.
