A very cute kitten looking with curiosity into the camera.

It’s hard to believe this gorgeous pastel-calico girl cat for adoption has spent most of her young life so far caged at a vet’s clinic. She is sociable, playful, affectionate, charming, as beautiful inside as she is on the outside. But for the last three months she has lived behind bars, in a vet’s cage. Someone saw her in a bad state on the streets, took her to the vet for treatment, and then seemingly forgot about her. Days turned into weeks and then months, and still Keira waited. She overcame her eye infection and her ringworm, her cat flu symptoms diminished, and still she waited for her rescuer to take her home. She grew old enough to be spayed, and still she waited. Finally, the vet gave up waiting and asked us to take Keira into foster care, to enjoy her remaining kittenhood with toys and cuddles and a soft bed. She is still taking antibiotics for her flu, but is almost completely healed. Keira the kitten is longing for a forever home where she will be cherished, and never be left behind bars again.
