In February 2016, the crew of Animaniac TV show took a cat-walk around central Athens with Nine Lives Greece! 

In its Animal Lovers column, popular Greek free-press weekly LIFO featured an interview with Cordelia Madden-Kanellopoulou, member of Nine Lives Greece, about the charity and its work for stray cats.

In November 2012, two of our rescue cats, the dynamic duo Batman & Robin, were featured on the website IBDKitties, a fount of information and inspiring stories about cats with disease or disabilities. We are so grateful to Lisa for featuring our boys on her site, and to their foster mum Sydney for her absolute devotion and meticulous care in helping these two feline caped crusaders get back in their Batmobile and speed away towards a very bright future!

As part of their 'Who's Doing Good?' community-focused series, Greece's respected English-language newspaper the Athens News sent two reporters to meet some of the volunteers who daily dedicate their time to feeding and caring for stray cats as part of Nine Lives Greece. (Athens News 31/7/2009)

Nine Lives supporter Andy Dean's account of adopting deaf Aslan and five more lucky former Greek strays was featured in the UK's top-selling newspaper, the Sunday Telegraph, in October 2012. For more read the story.

Blogger Arietta came to meet the 100 (and counting) neutered stray cats in the Plaka-Acropoli area that we care for and feed every day, and did a photo-feature on her blog Stripes and Scarlets about the experience. (Save even one out of Nine Lives)

Journalist and Nine Lives volunteer Nelly Paraskevopoulou brought her camera along on her first feeding session, to feature some of the charismatic colony-members and introduce our work to her followers on her blog Alashop. 




The work of Nine Lives Greece - Oi Eptapsyches - was featured on the pet-themed show Paratriha on Greek TV channel SKAI. The programme follows some of our volunteers on their daily feeding round, and discusses subjects including the importance of neutering and the cruelty of abandoning home cats. Ethnos newspaper ran a short feature about Nine Lives Greece - Oi Eptapsyches in its NGO column (19/02/2012), introducing our work and looking at the effects of the crisis on stray animals and the charities that care for them.
